Platypus Swimming Club was thrilled to receive the ‘Community Sports Club of the Year’ award at the One Welwyn Hatfield Community Awards held on 28th February at Campus West. It was a fun evening with a magician, dinner and a chance to meet other members of the voluntary community. As the evening progressed it was very exciting as we awaited the results. Graeme, our Chairman, Abigail, Amy and Karen went up on stage to accept the award on behalf of the Club. It was an honour to receive the award in recognition of the achievements of the Club, it’s members and committee. The event was very well attended with many worthy winners of community awards.
